The two wooden houses of KTIRAKIA are situated on a unique picturesque hillcock of 8 acres and surrounded by green countryside with a magnificent view onto the sea of Mavrovouni bay.

To the closer environment belongs the pictorial port and small fisher-town Gythio in approx. three kilometers distance. There are many shops as well as nice taverns and "cafenions". The nearest possiblity for swimming is the sea of Mavrovouni-beach, receivable by car in mostly five, by foot in approx. 15 minutes. The beach is from sand, has a length of approximately 5 kilometers, the sea water is wonderful clean and clear. Numerous small bays, partly with crystal and partly with thick pebbles, contribute at different distances an alternation.

Numerous other beaches, some with crystal sand, some with thick pebbles contribute in varying distance to a diversity. Especially beautiful is the beach of the bay of Skoutari with its shimmering turquoise green, and shallow water. There needs to drive about 30 minutes.
